Scan a book's barcode and you immediately see its current Amazon price, its sales rank and whether your seller account is approved to sell it, then add it to your inventory and print FBA labels — without leaving the store. There is also a web app at stackdlister.com for listing, shipments and settings.

Is Stackd a book scanner app?

Yes. Stackd scans book barcodes and ISBNs using your iPhone camera, and the iPhone app also supports Bluetooth HID barcode scanners. The web app works with Bluetooth or USB scanners that type an ISBN and press Enter. Stackd can also identify a book from a photo of the cover when the barcode is missing or damaged.

Who is Stackd for?

Stackd is built for people who resell used books and media through Amazon FBA — both individual resellers and sellers running at business volume. It is specific to Amazon, not a general cross-platform arbitrage tool.

Does Stackd work on Android?

Not yet. The Stackd mobile app is currently iOS only and there is no Android version. The web app at stackdlister.com works in any modern browser, including on Android, for listing, shipments and settings.

How do I check if a book is gated or restricted on Amazon?

Stackd checks it for you the moment you scan. It asks Amazon whether your seller account is approved to list that specific title and flags restricted books before you buy them, so you are not guessing in the aisle or finding out after you have already paid.

How do I know if a used book is worth selling on Amazon?

Look at three things together: what the book currently sells for, how often it sells, and what you would pay for it. Stackd shows the current Amazon offers and the sales rank on one screen when you scan, and you can set your own buy triggers so the app tells you whether a book meets your rules.

What does sales rank mean for books?

Sales rank, also called Best Sellers Rank, is Amazon's measure of how recently and how often an item has sold within its category. A lower number means it sells more often. What counts as a good rank depends on the category and on how long you are willing to hold inventory, so most sellers set their own threshold rather than using a universal number.

Can I add books to my Amazon inventory while I'm still at the store?

Yes. You can add a book to your inventory straight from the scan screen, with your price and condition already applied, so the listing work is done before you get home and your labels are ready to print when you arrive.

Does Stackd work with Amazon FBA, and does it show FBA and FBM offers?

Yes to both. Stackd is built around Amazon FBA — it creates inbound shipments and prints FNSKU and box labels. When you scan, it shows FBA offers and falls back to merchant-fulfilled (FBM) offers when there are no FBA sellers on a title.

Do I need a Bluetooth scanner to use Stackd?

No. The iPhone camera is all you need. If you already own a Bluetooth HID scanner, you can use it with the iPhone app; the web app also accepts Bluetooth and USB scanners that act like a keyboard.

Early members get Stackd at a founding rate: $44.99/month billed at $29.99/month for your first 12 months, or the annual plan at $269.99/year instead of $449.99. It's our way of rewarding people who join early.

How does the founding price lock work?

Accepted Answer

The founding annual rate of $269.99/year stays yours for as long as your subscription remains active. If you cancel or let it lapse and come back later, you'll rejoin at the regular rate at that time.

What happens after the 14-day free trial?

Accepted Answer

Your plan starts billing automatically when the trial ends. If you cancel before then, you won't be charged. Your account is paused and your data stays in place unless you delete your account.

Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On the web, go to Settings, then Account, then Manage web billing to cancel. That stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. If you subscribed through the iOS app, manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings under App Store, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.

Will I be charged during the trial?

No. Your card won't be charged until the 14-day trial ends. Cancel before then and nothing is billed.

Question 16

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account, on the web or in the iOS app. Deletion removes your Stackd data and stops Stripe billing immediately. If you subscribed through Apple, cancel it in your Apple ID settings too, since Apple billing is managed by Apple.
