Privacy Policy

Ben's Corner Books LLC ("Stackd," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Stackd website at stackdlister.com and the iOS app published as "Stackd: Scan, List & Ship" (together, the "Service"). Stackd helps Amazon FBA book and media resellers scan, price, list, and ship inventory.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses the Service. Stackd is offered to United States users who are at least 18 years old.

Account and identity. Your email address, a password (held by our authentication provider, Supabase, as a one-way hash — we never see it in plain text), an internal account ID, and an optional display name and profile photo.

Amazon connection. When you connect your Amazon Seller account, we store the authorization credentials Amazon issues to Stackd (a refresh token), your Seller ID and marketplace, and the ship-from name, address, and phone number you provide for FBA shipments.

Inventory, scans, listings, and shipments. ISBNs and barcodes you scan, book titles, authors, editions, conditions, condition notes, prices, SKUs, stack and listing history, sales and order information returned by Amazon for your listings, shipment plans, box dimensions and weights, carrier selections, and label data.

Preferences. Pricing rules, default condition, SKU prefix, box presets, condition-note templates, scan triggers and sounds, theme, and tutorial progress.

Subscription records. Your billing provider (Stripe or Apple), plan, status, trial and renewal dates, and provider transaction or customer identifiers. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers or Apple Account payment credentials — Stripe and Apple handle those.

Cover photos. If you use Cover mode to identify a book from its cover, the photo is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for identification. Stackd does not save cover photos to your account or scan history. See Section 4 for retention by Anthropic.

Support communications. Emails you send to support and our replies.

Transactional email delivery. When a new account starts its first trial or subscription, we use your email address, optional name metadata, message content, and delivery status to send and monitor one welcome email.

Founding benefits and referrals. If you participate, we store your Discord username, referral code and attribution, payment milestones, reward status, scanner order and tracking history, and the U.S. delivery address you submit for a scanner.

Logs and diagnostics. Application and security logs generated by our hosting and database providers, such as request paths, timestamps, status codes, error messages, and truncated IP addresses used for abuse prevention and debugging.

Browser and device storage. The web app keeps your in-progress scan queue and a few preferences in your browser's local storage, scoped to your account. The iOS app keeps in-progress list and shipment drafts on your device, scoped to your account. This data stays on your device unless you submit it.

• Directly from you — when you create an account, scan or enter items, change settings, upload a photo, or contact support.
• Automatically — logs and aggregated web analytics described in Section 4 (Vercel).
• From integrations you enable — Amazon (catalog, pricing, restrictions, listing status, order and shipment data through the Selling Partner API), Apple (subscription status for App Store purchases), Stripe (subscription and billing status), Keepa (sales-rank and price-history data for items you look up), and Open Library (public cover images).

We use the following providers to run Stackd. Each receives only what is needed for its role, under its own terms and privacy policy.

• Provide the Service: look up products, calculate prices, create listings, build shipments, generate labels, and show your history.
• Keep your account secure, confirm your subscription, and prevent abuse.
• Send transactional welcome, founding-benefit, scanner, and referral-reward emails; respond to support requests; and notify you about your account, listings, or shipments.
• Understand how the website is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We process your information because it is necessary to provide the Service you signed up for, because of our legitimate interests in securing and improving it, and where the law requires it.

• We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold it in the past.
• We do not show behavioral advertising or share your information with advertisers.
• We do not track you across other companies' websites or apps, and the iOS app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track.
• We do not use your inventory, pricing, or photos to train AI models.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account on the web or in the iOS app. Deletion is immediate: your account is closed, Stripe billing is cancelled, and your data — including Amazon credentials, inventory, scans, listings, shipments, notifications, settings, subscription records, founding-benefit and referral records, transactional-email delivery records, profile photo, and acceptance records — is removed from Stackd's active systems.

Copies in our providers' protected backups expire on their normal backup schedules and are not used for anything except disaster recovery. If a backup ever had to be restored, we would reapply deletions. The narrow financial and legal records in Section 7 are retained only as long as the law requires.

Apple subscriptions. Deleting your Stackd account does not cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store. Apple controls that billing — cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or the app will remind you when you delete.

We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS) between you, Stackd, and our providers; hashed passwords; row-level access controls in our database so each account can only read its own data; private storage for profile photos delivered through short-lived signed links; hosted checkout so we never handle card numbers; and least-privilege access to production systems.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that every piece of data is encrypted at rest or that unauthorized access will never occur. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

• Access and correction — most information is visible and editable in the app; for anything else, email us.
• Profile photo — remove it from Settings → Account. Removal deletes the stored image.
• Amazon connection — disconnect from Settings → Account; Stackd deletes the stored credentials. You can also revoke Stackd from Seller Central → Apps & Services → Manage your apps.
• Cover mode — optional; barcode and ISBN scanning work without sending photos anywhere.
• Billing — manage or cancel Stripe subscriptions from Settings → Account → Manage web billing; manage Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
• Deletion — see Section 8.
• Support requests — email support@stackdlister.com for any privacy request. We respond within 30 days and may need to verify that you control the account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (such as the right to know, delete, correct, or opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share for advertising). We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.

The Service is for adults running a resale business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Each version of this policy has a version date. When we make material changes we will show the updated policy in the app and ask you to acknowledge it before continuing; minor clarifications simply update the version date. Continued use after a change takes effect means the updated policy applies.
